Evgeny Morozov successfully defended his PhD thesis on June 6, 2013, at the Russian State Hydrometeorological University (St. Petersburg). His thesis is titled “Algorithms for the retrieval of the concentrations of chlorophyll-a and suspended matter as well as for identification of Lepidodinium chlorophorum and Emilianya Huxley blooms in the Bay of Biscay”. The members of the defence committee have highly appreciated the research and unanimously voted for awarding Evgeny Morozov a scientific degree “Candidate of physic-mathematical sciences” in the area of “Oceanology”.
