Expeditional activity
Member and leader of a number of Russian and international aviation and maritime expedition in the Arctic and other areas of the World ocean, including the drifting research stations "North Pole" (17 expeditions).

The developer of a number of research programs and the responsible executive of many Russian and international scientific projects.

Full member of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), co-chairman of the Russian-Norwegian Oceanographic Program (1988 -. 1998), Chairman of the Oceanographic Commission of the Russian Geographical Society (2001 - 2010). Awards: Order "Badge of Honor" (for the successful execution of the tasks of scientific research on the study of the Arctic Ocean), Diploma of the RGS "For outstanding contribution to the development of geography", badge "Honorary Polarman", Badge "Excellent of the Aeroflot Company" Badge of the NAVI of the Russian Federation "For long voyage "and others.
